A "weak" tube is rarely the cause of receiver malfunction and one
of the first things replaced. Like others have mentioned, unless the
receiver is malfunctioning , or the tube is shorted, or very gassy, I'd
suggest leaving well enough alone. Throwing away tubes that read
less than green, when there's no negative symptom pointing
specifically to the tube is wasting a device.
Tube testers were as much sales aids (for tubes) as diagnostic
tools.
