Ed.  Actually running out of both.  Trimmer screw is backed all  the way out, 
and the coil reaches a point where it starts to stick, and I don't  want to 
force it.  When I worked for a Motorola 2-way shop MANY years ago,  I used a 
white powder that had a silicon feel to it.  This stuff freed up  the stubborn 
ones.
 
What has me concerned is that ALL of the bands are off, which would point  to 
a common frequency determining component or voltage.  That limits it to  the 
main tuning cap, the band-spread cap or possibly the 82 pf N 750 cap  running 
up to the mixer.  Haven't looked real close at the voltage,  yet.  Heck, maybe 
the tube is a little flaky?
 
I'll get it back on the bench this week...
