I concur, gentlemen. Sometimes when one chews a piece of gum too long it loses
its flavor and becomes, well, in the case of gum, tasteless, in the case of a
topic, caught in an endless loop. About all that can be said has been said,
multiple times. So let's drift on bakc over to the subject of Hallicrafters
stuff.

Not that I am suggesting anyone go there, there is a list devoted exclusively to
the topic of antennas. it has some excellent information. You might even find
what you want by searching/reading its archives. It is:

antennas at mailman.qth.net

While trying to find a xtal for my 1974 Bearcat 3 scanner that has an I.F. of
10.8, most were 10.7, i was reminded that something Hallicrafters made had a
similar odd I.F. Anyone recall what piece this was?

WOW, has this thread deteriorated from the original question of, "will I
notice the difference," which I thought was sufficiently anwered with one
word, "NO."
Hank was right, "here it goes again."
Thanks for stirring the pot, Skip. Hope you got "Antennas 501." ;-)
