Some of you have posted messages recommending the use of Krylon dull aluminum 
on certain Hallicrafters cabinets.

Here is an alternative that might be easier to obtain in your area !

I have been using the same color, dull aluminum,  called 
Orr-Lac Spray Paint, made by an outfit called Spray Products Corporation.

Dull Aluminum is their product number 926.

Spray Products has 2 plants, one in Fresno, Ca and the other in Norristown, 
Pa.

                                     Pa :        610-277-1010. 

Those interested in dull aluminum might give these folks a call and find out 
the name of a retailer near you that carries the stuff. It is absolutely 
excellent, dries almost immediately, and is lacquer based rather than enamel.  You 
might ask them to send you one of their color charts also as they have a huge 
range of aerosol spray lacquer paints. Lacquer is getting harder and harder to 
find.
