This whole thing reminds me of some of the things that were happening
during the CB craze of the late 1970's. I was working for the Canadian
Department of Communications at the time, and we had to address many of
these issues in our daily dealings with the local CB populace. I
remember one product on the market caled "Liquid Boot". This remarkable
chemical was supposed to ad many dB's of gain on both transmit and
receive simply by spraying it on your antenna..at something like 30.00
for a small bottle. It turned out to be nicely packaged Windex.
