[Hallicrafters] Receiving Loop Antenna

If this is not an appropriate question for the list, please excuse me and 
reply to me directly.
Long ago when I was active on 160, I remember building an indoor loop 
antenna with a preamp from one of the handbooks. It did a pretty good job in 
some situations. Has anyone had experience with receiving loop antennas for 
the lower bands?
