Wonderful: nice job.
When cleaning IF transformers, how do people avoid rubbing off the
Hallicrafters
part number, which is usually stamped in black ink on the side of the can?
Also, how about preserving any identifying marks inked on the chassis?
And my last question is: does anyone have any tips on restoring pitted
chrome? I am
doing a 5R100 whose chrome surround of the dial glass is in a sorry
state. I took
wire wool to it, but the pitting is still very evident.
