[Hallicrafters] S 38E Help please

Can't get any voltage on the tube 35W4.  Note the lightbulb is burnt out as 
well.  I have no replacement bulb.  It appears that the voltage is passed 
onto Pin 6 through the lightbulb.

Questions.

1.  If 35W4 fails what would I expect?  I cannot test the tube on my tube 
tester.

2.  IF the lightbulb burned out what else could I put in its place to check 
the rig.  I do not have another 120volt bulb around?

Any help is appreciated.
