Please join us on Saturday December 17th for the HCI 40 meter Net. The
pre-Net commences at 12:45 PM EST, (1745 UTC) and the Net proper at 1:00 PM
EST, (1800 UTC).
The frequency will be 7.280 MHZ lsb +/- for key clicks, mike splatter and
the racous rumblings of adjacent reverberating Rock-A-Billy-Grid radio
stations with the pedal to the metal. That is, the foot switch is broken
and is suffering from a case of impacted Cowboy boot syndrome!
Due to the new Medicare prescription part D coverage starting on January 1,
2006 (mandatory for me) I need to dispose of some equipment in order to pay
for my medications during the period of time my deductable is being
established. Hence, one of my two Minerva Tropic Master WW2 receivers is up
for sale. Fully restored electrically, "ALL" original. Cabinet has original
paint and silk screened lettering and original decal. It is not flawless,
some light wear, everything is clear, legible and quite good, considering
she is sixty years old! This is the civilian model dated June 19, 1945.
Includes original schematic and copy of the fact sheet. Works perfectly. I
will include additional facts about this particular set, not documented
elsewhere. This is a highly collectable item in this condition See the
details on the HCI web site.
However, the one shown there is the military version I had repainted by
N0ALO, Lynn Brock. Nobody any better people! This set is extremely rare,
has all the original paperwork with it and is painted identical to the ones
produced by the Minerva Corporation of America for the United States Army
and Navy. It is spoken for if I ever decide to sell it.
The only other vintage tube gear i currently have that I can sell is my
personal fully restored, fabulous sounding, H.H. Scott LK-48B and LT-110
and Teac A-5500 reel to reel deck. Not cheap, details on request.
