[Hallicrafters] SX-110 Questions

    I just recapped a Hallicrafters SX-110 and it plays great. Here are
my questions/problems:

    1. On the RF tube, the plate voltage is on target. The screen-grid
voltage, however, is about 210 when it should be about 150. All
resistors in the area are within spec. Any ideas?

     2. In aligning the radio, how do I adjust the slugs?. From the
bottom, they appear to be filled with a wax-like substance. I need some
guidance before I go in there. I haven't run into these kind of
adjusters before.  (My repair philosophy borrows from the first part of
the Hippocratic oath: Above all, do no harm!).
