Al,

Where was the Novice band then?

Besides if the rig had general coverage, it left you 'hands free' operation when
that certain female was with you, heh? (chuckle)

Glen.....
How true....the very first rig I had was a "Sky Buddy"....S-19R. I enjoyed
hours and hours of short wave listening, and then Novice stuff. The ONE great
advantage to a recvr like that was, you could listen to the whole novice band at

once (which helped when you were rock bound)....................well, it
seemed like it. Especially on 40 at night when the short wave broadcast started

pile driving the novice area. BTW...the novice band was not in the same
location that it is in now, or prior to "re-farming" (the latest catch phrase??)
I
was in heaven when I worked one summer and could get a used
RME-45................Al/W8FAX
