Hi Dave,

Glad to see another semiconductor person on the list. On the subject
of misspelled words, we had a test handler made in Japan and it had a
fault sensor on it called the "Pool Sensor" and we never could figure
out why they used that terminology.  Finally one day I realized that
American made test handlers referred to the input storage area as the
"input reservoir", so I assumed that some Japanese engineer looked up
reservoir and saw it defined as a "pool of water", or such, and used
that to describe his fault sensor.....hahaha.

Back in the late 1980's when I was at Motorola, they received the 
Malcolm Baldrige Award for quality. In all of the press releases 
Motorola put out they misspelled Malcom Baldridge.

Go figure!
