I just come up with a price to restuff all the paper wax caps in a S-38.
$15.48 plus shipping.
If you really want your restoration to be as original as possible, please
clip out your old caps and send them to me for restuffing. If you have
another project going, just shoot me an email for a quote. I use Metalized
Polyester Film capacitors, rated at 630 volts, dc. Even thought the cap mite
say 200 volts on the paper, still a 630 volt cap, inside. Any higher voltage
caps, such as 1600 VDC will be on a quote by quote basis. Each cap is sealed
on the ends and the whole unit is double dipped in wax. These caps look like
new when done and sure would add to the value of the restoration.
I can also restuff the 4 section electrolytic but need to have the original.
Price is $24.66 plus shipping.
If you have another restoration going, be it a receiver, transmitter, audio
gear, etc. Just shoot me an email for a quote. Brand names are not a
problem.
I am also thinking about stuffing "Black Beauties" and "Bumblebee"
capacitors if there would be enough demand. Also thinking about the metal
can electrolytics. This will be at a later date.
Soooooooo, what do you need? Oh, by the way. I am in the market for used,
wax/paper caps. How many do you have. I will make an offer or we can do some
dealing.
Have a great weekend.
Regards,
Gary...WZ1M
