[Hallicrafters] US style 110 volt plug wanted to suit Hallicrafters.

I've just bought a nice little S 53A for $AU70 in good working order.
Over here in Australia the mains voltage is a nominal 250 Volts at 50Hz, so
any unmodified US made equipment has to run on a stepdown transformer.
My problem is that the S 53 has a 250 volt type plug on it, with a warning
tag of "110 volts only". This suited the previous owners stepdown
transformer.
My stepdown transformer has the proper US 110 volt two pin socket on it.
I am having difficulty obtaining 110 volt two pin plugs over here to suit.
They just don't sell them anywhere.
It doesn't sound like a big drama, but my main worry is that someone
(kids/relatives etc) might try to plug the unit into a 250 volt outlet, with
drastic results.
Can anyone help me with some period bakelite 110 volt plugs?
