[Hallicrafters] SX-101A question

  Has anyone here had the front panel off
the SX-101 receiver? I've got to address a
badly slipping "pointer reset" control and it
looks to me like the front panel has to come 
off, I can't even see the mechanism to tell
exactly how it must be repaired.
 I don't really want to start pulling things apart
not knowing what to expect, if there is someone on
the list who knows of anything I should watch
out for or be careful of in the process.
