Hello Group,
I picked up an SX-28 at the Shelby Hamfest that warrants restoring.----It is
the older SX-28 , not the SX-28A.----
The RF Cage, housing the tuning caps and the rf,mixer and osc. tubes, has a
cover which is screwed on and has a seperate ventilated ''window'',held down
by thumb screws.---( in contrast to the the SX-28A that has a louvered cover
held in place by 4 clips ) It is missing this cover incl. the ''window''.
Is there anyone in this group that has one from a ''junker'' and and is
willing to sell it to me.---It appears to be the only thing I need to get
this radio back into shape.
The other item that MAY be missing, is a cover for the bottom of the
chassis---This is a ''rack mounted'' SX-28 and I have the hood type
enclosure that protects the back of the unit----QUESTION----was there ever
such an item and what does it look like ???--Any info, anybody. ???---the
bottom plate, which goes with the regular SX-28 or 28A,would be too small and
does not cover the chassis.
Tnx fr ur help.----73 de Olaf,KF4TP.---
