[Hallicrafters] SX 99 info & S 40 question

Any one happen to have a good clean copy of the manual and/or schematic for
an SX 99 for sale.  I've down loaded the one from BAMA but the resulting
copy is not really clear enough to read the schematic and the parts list
accurately.

I am also looking for the plastic S meter cover for the SX99.  Any one have
one for sale or can suggest possible sources.  I assume it's the same as the
S85 and other similar models.

I am realigning the S40 I'm restoring and had to re-slot a couple of the RF
stage slugs using a fine tip on my dremel tool.  That all seemed to work Ok
but in trying to adjust them I noticed (after really cleaning the wax out)
that most of the slugs (maybe all) have a slot/grove down one side and that
many of the coils seem to have "sorta" peg that goes into that slot that
would appear to hold the slug in place or stop it from being turning out too
far.  Any one know about these and their purpose.
