Someone may have tried to "tighten" the 8 adjustment screws and the coil may 
be way off now. Have seen that one before. The adjustments are accessible from 
the top using a long thin tool with the receiver operating. The adjustments 
in the ends of the aluminum cans are another story. It would be trial and error 
on those because you have to remove the coils to change the setting and 
reinstall in the receiver to measure the effect of the change. Coils originally 
supplied with HROs were individually adjusted and serial numbered by National in 
black ink to that specific HRO creating a matched set but even then it is 
still possible someone tweaked the adjustment screws somewhere along the line. For 
this reason it is always desirable to get the original serial numbered coils 
with the HRO.
