[Hallicrafters] Need help with SX-100

Hi to the group,
 
I have an SX-100 that works on all bands, but the stations are not where  
they should be.  I have the bandspread fully meshed on the mark.  Also  I don't 
seem to be able to receive sideband signals.  I was going to  attempt an 
alignment, but on the first step in the manual it says to align the  50.75mc i.f.  I 
couldn't get any signal through or any indication on the  VTVM.
 
Any help would be appreciated.
