[Hallicrafters] HT-32 vs HT-37 Sideband Generators

Just noticed, the HT-32 and HT-37 chassis are close to if not identical
in 
hole locations.  Then it occurred to me, that the sideband generator
units
which unplug occupy the same hole using the same connectors.
 
Is it possible the sideband units are interchangeable?  Now I am just 
throwing this out there on the spur of the moment.  I did not check
schematics so don’t yell at me for suggesting something so blatantly
stupid.
