Please join us on Saturday October 9th for the Hallicrafters Collectors
International 40 meter Net. One of our long time HCI supporters and
participants, W5JT, Jim Thayer, is a certified commercial pilot and flight
engineer. He flies the big 747 aircraft around the world. Wednesday evening the
question about using AM for communications came up during the Global Glow
Roundtable and Jim explained it very nicely to those present.
Because of the questions on the Boat Anchor list, Jim will explain it again
during the Saturday HCI Net. Please join us for that special segment. If you can
not hear us direct, try using the web radio link on the HCI web site. If all
this fails, I will be recording it on cassette, I will make a copy available to
anyone who wishes one for the cost of postage.
The pre-Net portion will commence at 12:30 PM EDT, (1630 UTC). The Net proper
will begin at 1:00 PM EDT, (1700 UTC). The frequency will be 7.280 MHZ lsb +/-
for key clicks, mike splatter and the sound of grumpy old men pounding on their
not made in the USA plastic keyboards penning poisonous prologues of pointless
preponderance's to promulgate their preconceived propensity for prejudicial
non-pragmatic ulterior motives. Somewhat of a Cartesian circle with some
Freudian concepts mixed in. Confused? Not to worry, it will all be made clear
after the Monday October 11th Christopher Columbus rediscovering America
celebration plays out.
Here's hoping to hear many of you tomorrow.
