This is 'not' a commercial plug for Electric Radio magazine. I am not being paid
by, nor do I have any financial or other commercial interest, in said
publication.

Electric Radio has been printing a series of articles on vintage radio
restoration the past months. Excellent articles with some solutions to
previously unsolved difficulties with different rigs and many modifications to
enhance the performance of various receivers and transmitters. It has been a
very popular series and is going to continue into the future. Some really great
material on the BC-610e and the SX-28 will be forthcoming.

Somebody noticed a poem I originally wrote in November 2002, currently on the
HCI web site, about the ghost of Hallicrafters, "And Nobody Knows But Me". They
sent a copy to Ray Osterwald, Editor of ER, and he contacted me for permission
to reprint it. I consented.

I let Ray have a sneak preview of an article currently pending publication by
QST and he was intrigued. He decided that he would like me to write a monthly
column for Electric Radio. I accepted his request. The first item, the bit of
verse that got it all started, will appear in the October issue.

The column is entitled, "Key Clicks And Mike Splatter, Duane's Way". Some will
be on the humorous side of radio life, a few on adaptive technology for the
handicapped and others on historical events based on live interviews conducted
by me with the person, or persons, present for the particular event.
