Happy post turkey day..
I have a noise problem,sort of white noise in a 1650 kc if stage, a
Halicrafters SX-111 rx.
Pulling tubes from the rf stage, the first conv oscillator, the first
mixer tube makes no difference. The next in the chain is the first if at
1650 kc, a 6DC6, the noise goes away. I did look at the cathode resistor,
100 ohm, changed to a low noise type, checked the
screen resistor, 8.2k, no change, yes tried another tube.
