Hello,

I'm in the middle of restoring an SX-111. I was reading that there are two versions. The newer version has a product detector.

I understand how a productor dector works, what my question is, if the older version does not have a Product Detector, what does it use? An AM Envelope Detector? How does an Envelope Detector work with no carrier as in USB or LSB?


How can I tell which version I have?
