[Hallicrafters] "Best" Hallicrafter receiver?

Ah... "best"...

In my opinion, "best" might be a SX-23, or a SX-11 (nothing like
that green eye peering at you, next to the German Silver dial)...
likewise the slit-eyed 23 is a fabulous piece of industrial art.

To me, the "best" Halli is that which produces the best feeling inside
me, not the best performance on 20m.  There's lots of modern rigs
that'll run rings around any Halli, when it comes to numerical performance.
 
On the other hand, on these fall evenings, with the chill in the air,
there's no Kenwood that will match the feeling of firing up the SX28
and using...no...,  OPERATING that piece of gear! 

That's where Hallicrafters are BEST!!!
