[Hallicrafters] Re Decals--results of using while decal paper

Below is my original post re using inkjet decal paper.  The results are from retrying the lettering using the white rather than clear inkjet paper.  It worked!  Though I had to fill the background with black (since the background would otherwise be white, of course), the lettering is now opaque and stands out well against the black panel.  Not a perfect solution, but it is acceptable for my purpose.

I tried using the Inkjet/Clear Water Slide decal paper marketed by Bel, Inc.

Though the gold lettering I printed looked perfect against the white backing paper, it ended up too translucent when applied and almost disappeared against the black panel.  I'm now trying a white Inkjet Aqua Slide decal paper marketed by Papilio, again printing the gold lettering, then filing the background black.  I'll post how this comes out after I try applying it.
