performancewise?

Hi All,
I would select the SX-28 and the GRR-2 military version were the best. Both
of mine have excellent audio, the variable selectivity is an excellent
feature and their noise limiter is a very modern and effective noise
blanker. Also they are general coverage.
They don't have the frequency stability and frequency accuracy of the much
later R390's but remember they were still very advanced for a early 1940's
production receiver available to the general public.
For AM and broadcast use I'd vote for the SX-28's as the best Hallicrafters
made based on my work refurbishing two of them.
