My HT-32 manual for transmitter serial number 185940 is tilted MT-32 Mark 1.
The wiring diagram is numbered 089-600749C and it too is labeled HT-32 Mark
1. I don't have anything earlier so I don't know if this represents a
revision from some earlier version of the HT-32. The picture of a HT-32
inside the front cover does not have Mark 1 on the transmitter. It is
numbered 92-5164

According to the Chuck Dachis book, there is no mention of an HT-32 Mark
I
transmitter. The HT-32 was built in the years 1957-1958. The HT-32A
went
into production in 1958-1959 and the HT-32B went into production in
1960-1964.
Beware with the capacitor leaking sticky stuff. If it has a sweet
smell,
it could be PCB oil which is a hazardous material according to the EPA
and
needs to be disposed of accordingly.

Subject: [Hallicrafters] Hallicrafters HT 32
I have a Hallicrafters HT 32 (not A or B model). It might or might not
be a Mark I model.
Does anyone know if the HT 32 is the same as the HT 32 Mark I ??
Can anyone tell me when the HT 32 was first produced, when the Mark I
was produced if different transmitters and when the HT 32A and HT 32 B
went into production.
I also need a replacement filter cap for a Hallicrafters HT 33
amplifier. 8mfd or 10mfd at 3,000 vdc rating is needed. The current one
is leaking "sticky stuff".
Please email me at k5pgw at yahoo.com.
Thanks for reading and your assistance. 73, John, K5PGW
