[Hallicrafters] SX-88

IF the economy will support enough buyers he'll get more than the asking 
price.  That is one rare piece of equipment to be in that shape.  OTOH I'd 
have to see it in person to make a real evaluation.

I have noted a lot of high ticket ham items are going for far less, or not 
receiving any bids.
There has been a Globe Chief Deluxe on there for at least 3 or 4 times now 
and it has never gone near the reserve.
I purchased a nice one for well less than $75. The next week a rough one 
went for $125 and that was the highest I've seen one.

Still, if the right collector sees it, he will get his asking price or more.

Much as I like the old Hallicrafters, I've pretty much resigned myself to 
never owning an SX-88 or SX-115.
Let's face it.  All that old junk out in the garage or shop is gaining in 
value, if it doesn't rust out first.
