Hi,

The R-46B speaker had a flocked grille.  You can buy flocking kits in better 
craft stores.  The flocking process is easy once you get the old screen clean. 
This can be done with a wire brush. Solvent may sometimes be required in 
which case you will want to work outside. Another way to clean the screen is to 
bead blast it.

Flocking kits usually come with instructions but basically, you coat the 
cleaned surface with a varnish like substance which acts as a glue. Then sprinkle 
the flocking on and tap the screen from underneath. This causes the flocking 
to stand up. Let it dry well and reinstall.
