[Hallicrafters] Help with SX-100 S-meter.

Hi,
    The S-meter needle on the SX-100 I am working on seems to be rubbing 
on the front of the plastic cover.  Comparing it with another SX-100 
meter, the needle appears to be bent forward towards the cover (it's 
hard to tell sighting from the side).  The meter does work when tapped 
but does not deflect full range.  Has anyone taken this meter apart to 
reposition (bend) the needle?  Suggestions welcome.
