Hello everyone,

I have the prototype reproduction knob in my possession and it looks
great. The dial skirt and weight attach to the back as they should with
the existing screws (the dial skirt, weight and attaching screws need to
come from your old knob). The knob will come with a new metal insert
already on the front. It will also come with set screws. The set screws
will be miniature screwdriver type but the original Bristol set screws
can be swapped out from your old knob because the threads are the same.

It will take about 8 weeks (I am told) to get the plastic knob and metal
inserts produced (one guy is making the knob and another is making the
inserts). I am ordering 50 and they will be sold at cost plus freight,
first-come, first-served. I am keeping 2 for myself and giving one to
Marshall Dues (when I return his original which is being used to make
the molds) so there will be 47 available. I had expressions of interest
for possibly 25 from the individuals copied above depending on price.

If you want to reserve one (or more) of these knobs, send me $35.00
(includes packaging and freight from me to you) for each one along with
your mailing address. If you want digital photos of the prototype (next
to an original), e-mail me directly. Please, no cash, credit cards, etc.
a personal check is the easiest for me sent to:

So there is no misunderstanding, this includes the plastic portion of
the knob (bakelite on the original), the front metal insert and two set
screws for the shaft. It does NOT include the dial skirt, weight or
weight/skirt attachment screws, they have to come from your old knob.

I had a few of you interested in a dial skirt. I have a quote for a
silk-screened aluminum repro. (the original is brass and engraved). The
minimum order is 25 and they will run about $25 each from me to you. I
have one and it looks great but I can't justify the outlay necessary
unless there are more of you out there interested. Let me know.
