Subject: Re: [Hallicrafters] My response to the BPL article
Why can't we hams play the same hardball as the charlatans behind the BPL
plan? What would be wrong with a class action lawsuit filed on behalf of
those who stand to lose tens of millions of dollars in equipment that would
become obsolete. Where is the legal muscle at Newington? Let's quit our
reliance on conducting everything above board and meet the sleazeballs in
Washington on a platform they'll understand. None of them has any knowledge
of communication, including that big fat idiot that runs things in
Washington, so it is impossible to think that he understands any of our
technical arguments. This gentleman's attitude in the League's "Amateur's
Code" worked fine before business in America became what it has become. But
we have rolled over and allowed them to stick it to us for the last ten
years and we've enabled them to do so.
