[Hallicrafters] SX-117 and Sonar??

I just picked up a Sonar FS-2023 CB set and I swear it is made just like a
SX-117/ht-44. It is the same color the top and bottom come off almost the
same way and the radio uses a number of 6EA8's! Chassis looks very similar.
Does anyone know if there was some connection between Sonar and Halli?  Dan
