Changing the focus of my collection of Hallicrafters boat anchors to
just five models; the S-38E, SX-42, SX-62, SX-71, and SX100. I have all
but the the SX-42. Thus I am thing the heard to fit this. Selling off
two radios now to fit that. I would like to give this group a chance at
what I believe are some good deals before they go on electronic auction.
The SX-99 is a very good example. Internal it is quite dusty but other
excellent, which is how I got it. I'll clean that up before I ship it.
Externally some minor scratches and scuffs but really pretty. Seems to
work well, no problems observed. Reception seems good with a modest
indoor antenna. First $60 plus $22 for UPS shipping in CONUSA gets it.
The S-118. Seems to loose power after prolonged continued use of the
tuning knob. Interestingly once a station is found it will plays for
hours without a problem. Reception seems as expected with a modest
indoor antenna. Externally in very good shape. The first $25 plus $18
UPS shipping in the CONUSA gets it.
In both cases the person who gets the radio is the one who first says
they definitely want it. I think these are reasonable and low prices. I
am not really anxious to negotiate or auction. I just want to send the
radios on to a better place and recover a portion of what I spent on
them to use on buying another radio.
