Mouser ( http://www.mouser.com ) has 0.1% resistors in
1/4 watt that range in price from $0.96 to $1.14 each
in single quantities. They have 1% resistors in 1/2
watt that range from $0.14 to $0.17 each in single
quantities. The actual price depends on the
resistance of the component.
You should be able to find the actual resistance in
one of the lists. Considering the original value was
probably no better than 1%, those would be the least
expensive. However, if the resistor does turn out to
be of a value that is only on the 0.1% list then they
are available although at a much higher price.
For a signal generator attenuator the 1/4 watt
resistors should have adequate power handling
capabilities.

My question is has anyone rebuilt one of the
attenuaters and is there any advice you can share
with me,especially the precision resistors(where is a
good source?)
