[Hallicrafters] Cyclone Modulation Problem

I want some advice to improve the SR-400 cyclone I have. I receive bad audio reports, the output power is OK (around 160pep), but receive "bad and low" or  "metallic" sound modulation. I tried my two Shure microphones (444 and 450) and the same problem is reported. I have changed the two microphone amp tubes.
