[Hallicrafters] Kwikettes

My attempts to make suitable "quig or Kwikettes" replacements from wire
tightly wrapped on a small diameter form wasn't completely satisfactory.
One thing that I thought of but haven't followed up on is perhaps using a
very small diameter copper tube to join component leads. Maybe capillary
tube as used in small window air conditioners but bought bright new and
unused could work. The copper tube could be slightly crimped before
soldering so it would stay put.
Anyone know of a source of very small diameter copper tubing?
