[Hallicrafters] SX-42 problem

Hi Bob,
    The bandspread cap is at a "funny" posn at "rest," not at one end I
don't think.  I'll have to dig into my note on that, will later tonite,
it's easy to get it screwed up if the dial cords have been broken.  i'll
get bk to you.  Also you need to be sure you've got the osc. on the right
side of the received freq., but I think it's almost impossible for that to
happen on the bc band.  I've had similarproblems on an SX-42 - but they're
neat when right.
