[Hallicrafters] Virus

Hello All,

I am not 100% certain about this but I think one of the e-mails I received 
on this reflector contained a virus and I wanted to let you know what I 
encountered. Fortunately, my Norton AntiVirus software detected it and 
notified me before any damage was done.

I believe the culprit was a phony e-mail disguised as coming from a regular 
contributor to this list.
The e-mail supposedly came from Roy Morgan. In the e-mail header it had a
From: Roy Morgan <roy.morgan at information.attbroadband.com
although I've seen Roy's address as different from this one.

The Subject was: Re: [Hallicrafters] SX-101 weight

Also, the text of the e-mail referenced another e-mail
as: At 06:01 AM 8/28/02 -1000, pete wokoun, sr. wrote:

Note the date.

I believe there was an attachment to the e-mail which contained a Virus 
that Norton detected.
I have no way of knowing if I was the only recipient as there was not a 
"To:" in the header.

So, if I am right and you received this e-mail, then please be on guard.
If I am off on some wild goose chase, then please excuse me. I didn't want 
to alarm anyone,
but Virus's alarm me.
