[Hallicrafters] '101 hum

How about everybody take a break!
I have a very expensive pair of low Z Bose noise canceling headphones.
They are very light and comfortable, sound terrific, block and/or cancel
almost all external noise and have a wireless adaptor attached. These
features make them superior for just about everything from classical
music to faint cw. They are great to use for all purposes and I like to
do so. There is a big world out here guys.
Let's not be critical and move on.

Give us a break Bob, you are very well aware that you could have ordered
these
by phone from several sources and had them in your hands in a few days.
I do not
know of any modern consumer electronics that use old mono headphones
with a 1/4
inch plug, so why would anyone even remotely think he/she could go to
one of the
discount chain electronics stores, or even a locally owned higher end
audio
store, and purchase mono headphones that nobody but a bunch of old farts
with
radios as old as they are, or older, want?
They are not hard to find, if you look in the right places.

Maybe is like me, needed a pair of headphone and there was not a pair of
mono
phones in the city of Mobile, AL:...you could buy all the stereo phones
you
want,
so you go with what is available and live with the problem or try to
resolve it
as best you can. Oh yes I did find one pair of mono phones in town,
cheap
plastic
with two ear buds and come wire. I wanted padded phones.
