[Hallicrafters] Best Finds

I have three great finds. About twenty years ago a ham friends father
also a ham passed away and his radios were up for sale. My xyl said i
could only buy one so i bought the fpm-300. An xyl who had just got her
ticket bought the sr-160. A couple years ago i found that sr-160 on my
door step. She told me to just keep it because she didnt want it. Both
radios are now reunited. The other is a man i used to work for in his tv
shop called and said his xyl wanted him to clean out the barn. I hauled
out some two way radio stuff for scrap but on the bottom of the pile 
was a hallicrafters csb-10-3  uhf fm comercial base station. I just
got it working on 446.000 mc. looks real nice. .The last was a SX-100. 
A friend wanted me to get him a hallicrafters receiver so i found one at
a swap and he bought it. He gave me his sx-100 that was all rusted up.
The chassis workes but the case had to sanded down and repainted. Still
smells musty when warmed up. Keep them glowing.
