[Hallicrafters] HT-37 & PTT???

Hi George,
You're right, no provision for PTT in the HT-32/37, but it's easy to
add if you want.
    2 suggestions:
1. What I do, having a D-104 mic with the grab-bar on the stand for PTT,
I set the VOX so it isn't too sensitive, but will pull in on my voice into
the mic, and set the delay so it has a slight pause before dripping out.
Then, use the grab-bar as you would for normal PTT operation. The mic is
not in the ckt until the bar is grabbed, so no external noise will
activate the VOX until you grab it.
2. It's easy to add a PTT line in the rig, and bring it out to, as you
suggest, a pin on the access. jack, OR if you don't mind a non-original
mike connector, put in a 2 ckt mic jack instead of the single one there
now. You can see the PTT ckt mod on my website, go to the HT-37 page,
it's twd the bottom I think.
    Hope that's clearer than mud.
