Sometimes you resolder the connections to the
terminals and this will restore the coil.  Often this
connection builds up corrosion and resoldering it will
restore the connection.

Also, if the above fails, you can charge up as large a
450 volt electrolytic capacitor that you have and
discharge it across the terminals of the coil. 
Sometimes this will actually "fuse" the broken wire
together inside the windings.  If it doesn't work the
first time, try several times until you get a
connection.  Unfortunately, this doesn't work as often
as not, but it is certainly worth a try.
