[Hallicrafters] mindless posts - speaker wires

The speaker wire question was an interesting one, what if my Australian
distribution of the Hallicrafters R46-B had a locally made connecting wire
on it?
It's hard to judge just how finicky collectors and restorers of radios (or
wirelesses) wish to be and whether the question asked is real, or just a
bait.
Again, if you have a collector who is so particular as to hide greencaps
inside old capacitor bodies in the interests of originality and keeping
things "looking right", the question of what sort of wire an R46-B had
connecting it might be very important to them.
It happened that I had changed the rotten old VIR insulated wire on my R46-B
within the last couple of months, so I unwittingly volunteered an answer.
For all I know, this wire might not have been original but some locally
made-up connection.
All the same, I felt the "PLEASE REMOVE!!!!" retort from another subscriber
somewhat rude!
Regards
Peter
