[Hallicrafters] BBOD & AC bypass caps

The justradios site has a great explanation of AC bypass capacitors.  
I'm embarrassed to admit that until recently I was still using plain 
old high voltage ceramics as AC bypass caps instead of the correct 
beasties.

BTW.  I'd always heard Black Beauties called BBOD's -- Black Beauties 
of Death.  I recently resurrected a dandy little Ampex Hi-Fi amplifier 
and only three of four Black Beauties were bad.
