a friend called me over to clear out the remains of his two-way radio
& paging business; being a ham there was a little amateur flotsam laying
about among all the motorola and other business band equipment.

he had purchased an SX-115 & HT-32B from an elderly local amateur some
time ago; laying in the corner were the original shipping boxes for that
equipment. It was headed for the dump, so being the dummy i am, i
volunteered to save them from the death dealing bulldozers at the dump.

these boxes are definitely not mint; they show a lot of wear and tear,
but are possibly decent enuff for someone to appreciate. the original
owner ordered these units from Allied Radio in Pasadena, Ca; the
original shipping invoices are still on the boxes - this was long before
zip codes, and the phone numbers are the old letter/number combos.

Only the SX box has the original Halli model ID tag, along w/ the
original Serial Number tag; these are missing off the HT box.

if someone is interested in owning these pieces of history, i'm thinking
of offering them for PICKUP ONLY here in Carson City, Nevada; i was
thinking that the interested party would donate $25.00 to QTH.net in
both our names for the opportunity to store these artifacts at their house.

here's pictures of the SX box:

any takers before the glow these items offer is the heat from the
fireplace?
tnx,
