Recently there was some postings about an RMA "Dummy" antenna. The
references I have in a Hallicrafters manual called it a RETMA dummy antenna.
I did some research and actually found an image of the RETMA seal. RETMA
stands for:
"Radio Electronics Television Manufacturers Association" or RETMA.
Some Hallicrafters gear have the RETMA seal on the fiber board back panels.
For an interesting read of the many names of the ARM, RMA, RTMA, RETMA and
finally EIA history, go to this website. It is about early radio and the
attempt to standardize the huge radio building industry in the early years.
