Hi,
The Following was posted to one of the Yahoo reflectors I belong too. I
thought it good enough to repost here.

Hello all. I thought I would make a Christmas list for the group to
maybe help the spouses choose a great gift for that guy/gal that has
all the gadgets you could think of. This is my wish list and please
feel free to add some ideas of your own.
#1. Coax. you just can't go wrong with this gift. How many operators
wouldn't like to replace that old weathered coax or just have a 100
feet or so laying around just in case. I know I would love to.
#2. Connectors. Another one you would have a hard time going wrong
with. Get them an assortment of good high quality RF connectors such
as PL-259, SO-239, BNC adaptors, SMA adaptors, ect. Man I know for me
I never seem to get these for myself and boy I regret it when I need
one and don't have one.
#3. Soldering supplies. I know I would love a brand new shiny
soldering iron, and one of those adjustable temp jobbies with the
knob in the base and all the cool atachments and bells would be
great. I kinda live in the past with my old Rad Shack klunger that is
all bent up and seen better days.
#4. Memberships & Subscriptions, Memberships to (e.g ARRL, local
radio clubs) and subscriptions to (e.g. Popular communications, world
Radio ect( are great gifts. As a matter of fact my wife just renewed
my ARRL membership for a stocking stuffer. It is great.
#5 And last but not least on my list are tools & stuff. I know that
alot of operators have tools that like mine have seen better days,
like chipped teeth on wire cutters, crocked needle nose that the tips
don't meat together any more ect. a new set of good micro tools and
other things like heatshrink, solder, small insulatd wire are all
great stocking stuffers. Just visit your local Cell Shack and they
have all the goodies you need in that department. At least they still
cary those things.
These are just a few sugestions that I think any radio operator would
love to get on Christmes morning. I look forward to seeing your wish
lists.
