[Hallicrafters] headphone advice

The best mono headphones for boatanchors I've found are from Califone.  
They're Model 2924AV -- descendants of the rugged "cans" you wore in 
high school language lab about a half century ago.  Their impedance is 
600 ohms, which seems to work with just about anything (including, of 
course, line level outputs). They're nearly indestructible, look nice, 
sound great and cost fourteen bucks!  I use them with my Collins, 
Hammarlund, National and Hallicrafters sets. You can order them online
